TEENS IN THE KITCHEN COOKING SNEAKY CHEF!

Hi Missy,
My name is Sophia and I'm a 15-year-old who loves baking. My mom just bought me The Sneaky Chef to the Rescue on Christmas Eve and I'm loving it! For your recipes, I used mashed avocado instead of butter/margarine when I wanted to make it healthier for my family. I realized that in baking, everything needs a little bit of fat, but I wanted to use healthy fats instead, so I thought of avocado. Sometimes, when the avocado is too thick, I would add a little bit of applesauce so that it can mix better with the other ingredients.

I also use applesauce to replace at least half of the oil in recipes. I know that some people might not like artificial sweeteners, but if you do then you can use those in place of sugar. I made your Light Brainy Brownies last night. I just tried them and they were the BEST! When I made the Purple Puree I accidentally put a little more spinach than I thought was required, so it didn't really have the purple color that I was looking for, but the brownies still came out chocolaty. My family still love the things that I bake for them, but they don't know about the things I put in them...yet :D

Thank you so much for telling us about the great idea of disguising tasty foods with the things we never expected to be in there! Now I have a better excuse to let my mom eat my favorite treats!

Veggie Aversion Solved
"Dear Missy,
I wanted to thank you for your contribution to the health of my family. Both of my boys have a vegetable aversion. With The Sneaky Chef and The Sneaky Chef to the Rescue I am having so much fun sneaking veggies into their food. They've loved every recipe I've made, and I've made many. They don't detect a thing!

I've made Fridays my sneaky ingredient day. For example, today I made a froze lentil puree, white bean puree and orange puree. Now, I'm all set to go for next week!

So, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your recipes. I look forward to more in the future!

HOW TO MAKE & USE WHITE BEAN PUREE

My White Bean Puree has always been a Sneaky Chef Staple as it's nutrient dense, fairly bland in taste, and mixes invisibly into both savory and sweet dishes. It takes under 2 minutes to go from can of beans to puree (I use a mini 3-cup food processor for convenience). Saves for 3 days in the fridge and 3 months in the freezer. My favorite uses are to mix in a few tablespoons into:
-tuna or chicken salad instead of mayo
-soups (instead of cream)
-mac 'n cheese
-pasta or other sauce
-taco mix or meat sauces
-muffin batter or even chocolate chip cookie batter!
Or use it "straight up" as a dip - just add a bit of olive oil, sea salt and chopped rosemary. See more....here.
